A world-renowned technology company, Westport Innovations needed to redevelop their outdated 1950's warehouse space into a modern, alternative fuel, research facility. This involved a complete interior renovation of the existing space as well as the construction of a dynamic, contemporary exterior, befitting the company’s status and purpose. The objective was to provide consolidated and functional accommodation, including engineering, production, lab assembly and office areas within a short and strictly controlled time frame to allow Westport to meet its contractual obligations. Close collaboration between the client, the developer and the City Planning Department enabled this sustainable high tech facility to be completed on time and on budget.
